Intuit has just made Maintenance Release 12 R12 for the QuickBooks Desktop Product-line available for manual download and that means it is likely to start going out under auto-updates over this weekend if not before, certainly not later than early next week.
That means if you have automatic updates turned on, QuickBooks will be prompting you to install the download in the very near future. Therefore, if you don't want to install it, turn-off auto-updates right now. As always, each new update also includes all the changes, enhancements and fixes from any earlier updates. I have noticed that Intuit now refers to these as "Issue Fixes" These requirements are getting harder and harder for businesses with multiple company files to manage, especially when some of those company files are infrequently used We saw this premiered last month in the release update to QuickBooks I don't necessarily see anything that won't wait for at least a week or two or a few to give time to hear what others might experience if they go ahead and install it.
In fact some of the items might very well be good reason to wait to update, or perhaps not update at all, depending on your point-of-view.
